Julius Damenz is a German cinematographer based in Los_Angeles and St. Louis.

He was born and raised in a small town near Bremen in Northern Germany before immigrating to the US as a young adult.

His first ventures into filmmaking were guided by skateboarding and music videos, which sparked a deeper interest in lighting and camera movement.

He was mentored by Joaquín Sedillo, ASC after attending film school where his senior thesis film was awarded a national College Emmy award.

Some of his more boring interests include learning about city planning, vintage guitars, and soccer.

Julius is a member of ICG Local 600 and is available for union and non-union narrative, commercial, and music video work.
