Julius Damenz is a US-based German cinematographer and camera operator based out of LA and St. Louis.

He was born and raised in Bremen in the north of Germany before immigrating to the US as a young adult.

His work has screened at many film festivals across the US, such as Tribeca, Palm Springs Shortfest, Burbank International, and St. Louis International.

He was mentored by Joaquín Sedillo, ASC after attending film school where his senior thesis film was awarded a national College Emmy award.

His more boring interests include learning about city planning, vintage guitars, and soccer.

Julius is a member of ICG Local 600 and is available for non-union and union narrative, commercial, and music video work.
