Julius Damenz is a German cinematographer based in the US whose work has screened at film festivals such as Fantasia, Tribeca, Palm Springs Shortfest, FilmQuest, and Burbank International.
 
Born and raised in Bremen, Germany, he moved to the US as a young adult, and was soon after mentored by Joaquin Sedillo, ASC.
 
Julius' approach to cinematography is heavily influenced by 90s and 00s horror movies, high contrast black-and-white photography, as well as his background in screenwriting.
He loves finding the unique visual language for each project, and is secretly a fan of production headaches that require unorthodox workarounds.
 
Julius' most recent feature film was released theatrically nationwide. He's a member of the International Cinematographer's Guild and available for narrative, commercial, and music video work.
